Our experienced engineers and scientists are trained in emissions and air quality management, hydrogeology, water and waste treatment technologies, hazardous materials management, and innovative remediation alternatives. Other services include analyzing data, developing remedial alternatives, benchmarking and treatability studies, permitting, community relations, agency negotiation, and remedial plan approval.
STOP: The critical second opinion
GaiaTech’s Second Technical Opinion Program (STOP) provides our clients an independent review of the current approach and cost of a proposed or ongoing remediation project, to ensure that program costs are tracking in line with industry norms. Our STOP includes the following activities:
- Review of available reports and agency letters on the remediation project
- Interviewing management and, where necessary, client counsel to review project progress
- Preparing a summary report outlining a revised, more cost-effective remediation and site closure plan, if appropriate.
Clients have told us that our STOP program helps them control costs and monitor project progress.
